Hahaha...nice question! :-) I do plenty. My policy is that if my girlfriend wants to do something I find unproductive or uninteresting (IE watch a chick flick or watch TV instead of exercise with me) then I reserve the right to do something she has no interest in but I think is more productive (like spend hours on Yahoo answers).

When I'm confronted about it my general attitude is "why should I feel so guilty...at least I am honestly doing something for someone out of honest creativity and not letting my brain rot away in selfish indulgence to the same extent". The other side is I leave open "if you want to talk, exercise, or do something genuinely engaging I will gladly get up...but, until you do that, I refuse to fall to your level of both being physically and mentally lazy at the same time."

Harsh, yes, but I am admittedly a rather demanding person when it comes to making a different in the world, be it health, intellectual pursuits, music, or anywhere else I feel I can make something beautiful happen.

I don't get in trouble. I get made fun of for being on yahoo answers so much, so I say to my spouse to be, "oh **** off, it's not like you don't play legend of zelda all the time" and then he makes a witty comment at me and if I'm lucky I get a tit bit of wit and we have a good laugh at eachother's expense, if not, well I call him an asshole and blow him a kiss.

I think there's a grace period, I don't know how long it is, but I'm sure I will reach it soon. Then the hints will develop into direct criticism, so far I've only been questioned, I started on the history, diet/health, general science, I like to think I can help plus I learn things, a little mental gymnastics is good for my brain, this section is more earthy, more human and I like it, we'll see what happens.

There are people who can't deal what others are doing..so it is not for us to worry.. even if it is not Y/A, they would still find things that their partners or families are doing something that's not their kind of way of dealing things and won't get any approval.
Just trying to balance everything about life, family, work and pleasure etc..but to fix everything to every one's approval is nothing we can do. Time will come and then they gonna come and would say,,well..that's not bad at all...
No, I don't get into trouble because I choose not to deal with someone who can't deal with something (not a big deal) I choose to do which I think is my contribution and part of learning from these answers of real people.
Merry Christmas...
