I was hired before the Holiday rush. The person who hired me said nothing about it being solely a seasonal job. But, considering it was just around the time they were hiring for season- who knows? My question is, how should I go about seeing if that was their purpose in hiring me. And if so, talk to them about making me a permanent employee. I really enjoy this job and don't want to leave if that is, indeed, their intent. Thanks for any advice.

What I mean, exactly, is how I, do if it turns out they were only intending to hire me for seasonal, kind of get them to be more likely to keep me, whats a good way to help me out haha.

The only way you can find out if your job is permanent or not is to ask the person who hired you or your boss. I am sure if you like your job this is evident to your boss or the person who hired you by the way you act during the working day (or night). Did you get any kind of employee book when you were hired which indicates your benefits and other facts? The company may have policies which indicate whether you are a permanent employee from the first day you were hired or whether you have to go through a probationary period before you become full time. If your company has a union then ask the head of your union,if not then ask the person who hired your or your immediate boss.

If your manager has experience with working there for several years, he/she would know whether to expect a lack of employees or all positions full, and she would probably answer your request based on his/her expectations. All you can really do is ask before someone else does. If your manager likes you, he/she will keep you.
