I put a strip of 2-sided tape on the front of my black Epiphone so I could stick some picks on there, and when I took the tape off, it left some sticky stuff behind. I tried to wipe it off with lighter fluid, but it just smeared the stickiness around. What can I do to remove the residue w/out ruining the finish?

Have you tried prestick ? That is what we call it in SA - I am not sure what you call it wherever you are but it is the stuff that you stick pictures on walls etc with. Rub it over the affected area and it should rub the stickiness off.

Goof off you can get from any local hardware store.

but i'd say the best bet is use a rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs. should take care of it (dont skimp on the rubbing alcohol, or you'll just make the job harder, but dont get it anywhere especially in your eyes)
