I am having broadband connection of 128 at both the places. Security of my PCs and DATA is my prime concern.

Yes, u can do it at any given distance if u can use BPFTP Server on one system and any FTP on another, it is password secure and can share only the folders you want to, but remember u need to be connected to the net all the time where the BPFTP Server is installed. Use Public IPs of broadband, then u will be universal. Don't 4got to use OS with firewall ( Like Windows XP SP2 ) to protect yr data
