Hybris, or excessive pride was the undoing of the heros in Greek tragedies. So, I guess all through history, pride has been a problem. I don't believe that pride has taken me over the edge, yet! An interesting thought.

Yes, there certainly is such a point. Pride is destructive when we disregard our truth for the game. When our authentic emotions retreat to make way for the mask. But most of all, pride destroys us when we surrender the most important things to us for fear of humility.

when you start lying to yourself and to people around you, just to keep up with your swollen pride.
yes. it has happened to me before. i realised how much it had destroyed the wonderful things i had before and now i'm learning my lessons, the tough way.
