iam part of that network, i do have internet access through that net work,we have a switch to serve the network,they do nt use any fire walls,win xp is mostly used by all the guys here,i use win2000 profissional,sharing is available with some pcs,but it requires passwords,and by the way iam nt that advanced here ,iam trying to learn;so,Is there any Geek,any smarty,Does any body have Some brains enough to fix that Problem?

If your network is a domain environment, your domain account controls access to each machine. If your machines are only part of a workgroup instead of a domain, it becomes much more complicated because you need an account with appropriate access on each individual machine.

Either way, you have to have an account on each machine, typically an Administrator account, if you want to access unpublished shares.

Nope. The block is in the router, and that's thru your laptop's MAC handle of the community card (or they only turn off the on the spot in the router). you could no longer only pass by somebody else's laptop without doing somewhat internet Connection Sharing setup, which your mom and dad could observe suited away... the actual question you could desire to handle, is why are they blockading you???

where is the name of the computer you want to access. BTW you can also use the IP address of the computer you want to access.
