i already know that ppl will hat me 4 this one but i really wanna know now i know that no one should ever be called it but wut is it about the word iz it the history of the word or wut

It was used frequently during the slavery days and during that time it wasn't used as a way of being polite!!! It still carrys the same meaning. It's alright for black people to call each other that, but then again they do share something in common. The same goes for women...with the use of the word B itch...women can call that to each other, but let a man call her that and it's a different story.

It's a denigrative term; it was used in the past (during slavery) to classify, demean and discriminate people deported from Africa. That's why it's a really offensive word, because at that time those deported people were thought to have no rights whatsoever and to be inferior. I still can't believe what whites did in the past and still do, although in different ways. When I think of it, I really feel ashamed to be white.

Because the n word was called to a certain race and they find it offensive because it was used to be offensive and so everyone here on in find it a racist and offensive word and it isn't a very nice word.
