I really want to play at home but am pretty much clueless when it comes to video games. What's the best way to play Dance Dance Revolution at home, and where do I get it? Any help would be much appreciated.

Try Stepmania. It's a DDR "simulator" - it does pretty much everything DDR does, with the bonus that with a little work, you can make a stepfile and add any song you want. If you want to use a pad, though, make sure it's a newer model pad, and that you have the right kind of connector, because some older model pads won't recognize having two directions stepped on at the same time.

There are actually four ways to play this.

The first is the PC, via StepMania. Go to StepMania.com and download it, or get the SM Complete CDs. Installing SM from the site directly WILL NOT have any songs. You must download from the site, FFR Sims, BemaniStyle, DDRUK, etc. for them. You use the arrow keys, or your feet with a PS2 or XBox adpapter.

A second is via GC. Mario Mix is the only mix out.

Third is via XBox. There are four ULTRAmixes out, and they have really awesome songs.

The fourth, and original, is via PlayStation (or PS2).

Some songs from the series are:

MAX 300
Gambol
Little ***** (Yeah, it is from 1979)
We Will Rock You
My My My
Spin Spin Sugar
Crazy in Love (it's a ripoff)
Butterfly
Cartoon Heroes (Speedy Mix) (NOT BY AQUA)
and much, much more.
