The monitor is an 8 year old ViewSonic. Is there something internal I can adjust?

i wont really appreciate shadow's idea coz CRT monitors can give u a shock even if u hv unplugged them for a duration of about 1 hr. better if u get it checked by a comp engineer but i would recommend that u buy a new monitors preferably any good quality LCD or plasma

There should be focus pots inside the monitor case, normally on the circuit board. There are also pots there that adjust vertical and horizontal hold. Unless you are very familiar with working with electronics though I don't recommend opening the monitor and trying this yourself as there is a very good chance you will give your self a nasty shock. If you want to attempt it anyway, make sure the monitor is unplugged!

time to change a monitor.. unless you want your eye sight spoilt by saving $.. esp its 8 yr old somemore..

now lcd monitor..i saw in sim lim is like less than 300..for 3 yrs warranty..
