In my opinion, the only difference would be in the rituals and proceedings - such as Christmas trees, Christmas gifts, decorations and the so-and-so. We have grown so accustomed to these traditions and cultures that it might be so hard to change.
But as Christmas is actually more about the meaning rather than the celebration, nothing would change in essence. It's just our habits that would need to be changed to fit in the new date. Christmas signifies the beginning of everything, it is the day that God's promise for a savior is fulfilled. Without it, there would be no salvation, no cross, no Easter and nothing worth living for. It doesn't matter if it was spring or summer when He was born. What matters is that He did come to this world to offer Himself as a living sacrifice and redeem our sins. That's what Christmas is and should be all about, not about Christmas shopping and Christmas parties.
This might be a good time to read the four Gospel books again (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) to understand the real meaning of it all and avoid having a meaningless Christmas. By the time you understand the meaning you will have a clue to how different Christmas would be, essentially, if it is not celebrated on December 25th.
Christmas is not about the December 25th date itself or Santa Claus and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It's a perversion of the real meaning of Christmas, if I might say so. Christmas is about the birth and coming of Jesus to this world, and that's the real and only meaning of it.
Merry Christmas to you :)

I've heard that the reason they chose to celebrate Christmas in December, even though it isn't officially Jesus' birthday, is to put the holiday closer to Hanuka and Kwanzaa so the different religions can celebrate together. Although, I believe the traditions would be mostly the same, I think celebrating during warmer months would take some of the "fun" out of it. Because it's so cold in December it's fun to just stay home, curl up with some hot cocoa and watch movies or listen to music. Plus no one really wants a heavy Christmas dinner or to bake all day when it's hot outside.

Good question. The reason The Church at the time make Christmas on Dec 25th to make competition and eventual eradication of the "Ra" the Sun Gods Birthday" which back then was celebrated by many people on Dec 25th also.
So if Christmas was some other time who knows! Very interesting. I am glad it is the way it is.
Merry Christmas too you and yours :)

Itt would be a big change brcause we've been brainwashed. The music, decorations, snow for a lot of states, ect. But at our home we've been known to give give gifts For no other reason than to say have a good day or whatever. Feeling love and kindness and good will towards man. Should not just be for one time of year. The best song I heard a long time ago was done by Elvis Presley. Why can't every day be just like Christmas. Arion

No-one really knows the exact dates on which the major events in Jesus' life took place. The 25th of December was given as Christmas day by a Roman Emperor as it was previously the date of celebration of the Roman sun god. The date that Easter is on is decided by the position of the moon as far as I know. Its not a direct answer but I hope it helps you!

Tiger Crane Master was right with Ra's birthday yes they proved Jesus was born in August.. and ( got this off a snapple lid believe it or not) it was a pope that decided we should celebrate Jesus' birth in Dec. because that was already a most holy day. people have commericalized Christmas so much. why cant we celebrate christmas in our hearts all year long?? and not just in Dec?

Very different. Most Christmas songs, decorations, etc, have to do with snow. Valentines day would be the highlight of the season. Also, there would be no chestnuts roasting, holiday magic under the misletoe, and the Christmas tree might not be a good ol' evergreen.

wow its hard to imagine that, and since while they may can prove he wasn't born Dec 25th, they cant prove what day he was born,,, i dont think the day we celebrate it will ever change, but anyway, one big change would be the "dreaming of a white Christmas" for those of us here in the USA,,,, for others, we could send them our cds of it,,,,,, I've always wondered what its like other places, say Australia, where their Dec is in the middle of summer
