I think India now has a good crop of fast baller...
We have Sreeshant...who has shown he a match winner...then have Zaheer khan...Munaf when he is fit can take wickets and curtail the flow of runs with his accurate bowling...then there is Pathan....just imagine a Pathan in full swing and a Sreeshanth..bolwing in tandem...one is a lefthander bending it into the right handed batsmen..the other a right jhander taking it away....thats not all...Zaheer takes it away from the right hander and Munaf can bring it in....thats what I call variety and they are all very capabel ballers....India can now go inot the test matches with even 4 fast ballers and the pressure will be relentless!!!

I always thought the lack of Indian express fast bowlers was because of the flat spinning tracks they produce over there, what young kid wants to run in time after time and struggle to get the ball above chest height, I know things have changed a little bit as far as wickets go but you will still find that the Indians prepare wickets for slow bowling.

No i dont really agree. Just because they have more this time, doesnt mean that the quality is there. As per observation, no one above is really an automatic selection. Fine, they have done good performances before, but they have not been consistant. That is why there is a lot of changing in the indian pace attack. They are good bowlers, But they are not GREAT bowlers, like wasim, waqar, glenn, vaas etc etc

Yes, I fully gree with you. A time has now in Indian Cricket that bowlers have to compete to get a place in the Indian Team as compred to past. Take for instance the case of Zaheer Khan, who was dropped from the side due to poor performance. He tried hard to improve his performance by playing in County cricket and domestic cricket and have come back in Indian Team strongly.

Well seeing the first test between India and S.A I will say that Sreesanth is a very capable bowler who bowls line and lenght and with his brains for others I do not agree because their bowling is not consistent. Find two more bowlers like Sreesanth and India will have a very fine bowling attack which will surely help them in the World Cup
