it is
1.the equation of a straight line as it is a degree1 polynomial
2.the slope of the line is 3
3.the y intercept of the line is -9
4.the tan theta=3 and so the angle it makes with the positive direction of the x-axis is acute
5.its 'x' intercept is 3
6.two ordered pairs needed to graph the line are are (3,0);(0,9)
7.the inverse of ths function will be y=(x+9)/3

y = 3x - 9 <=> x = (y + 9)/3

with x1 > x2 we have y1 = 3x1 - 9 > 3x2 - 9 = y2
so the graph will increase from left to right

y=3(x-3), x=3 is the solution

negative infinty to 3, the graph will decrease:

see for youself by choosing a test point less than 3

3 to positive infinity, the graph will increase:

see for youself by choosing a test point more than 3

slope is 3 and it crosses the y axes a -9.

To know more details, plot a couple points: one at x = 0 and another at x = 2. e.g. substitute the values in the equation to get the corresponding y values
