Go and try to save the dog. Try giving it something to use so it can pull itself out of the pool. Or try grab it by the collar. You cant just leave it to drown. It will get exhausted quicker than you think.

by the time you read this, the police should have come to your house. Call them again and tell them to come and get the dog out of your pool. You might want to try your neighbor again. Maybe call the fire department. they used to resuce cats out of trees. good luck. Dogs can tread water for sometime. If he drowns you won't have to worry about him bothering you anymore.

Have you tried going to the neighbors and getting them to fish their dog out of your pool?

The dog can tread water for quite some time - hours even. Let it be and let the professionals handle it - seriously.

instead of the police you should have called animal control. that is who the police are going to call when they get there.

get some food, something smelly and try to coax him out..if you have a rope and can drop it on his neck and hold him still, he may be able to climb out
