I wear my normal everyday clothes. Some folks dress up a bit at my church and some don't.
I think you are losing sight of a very important part of this conversation. Your daughter is willing to come to church? Her only argument is about the clothes you'd like her to wear? Rejoice! Getting her there is the important part. If you are comfortable about how your daughter looks on any other day of the week, then those clothes should be fine for church. Even if you go to a conservative church where everyone dresses up, let her wear what she's comfortable in. If it's uncomfortable for her to dress this way, she may change her mind. Leave it to her. You are raising her to be able to stand on her own. Letting her do it at church is a great place. Don't forget, Jesus has seen her naked. All of us!
God bless you and your family!

She can wear pants but not jeans. I prefer my future children wear 'church clothes' to church. Just more respectful I think.

Absolutely! I wear jeans to church almost every week!
I suppose it depends on what denomination you are. Some churches are more um...uptight about dressing the 'right way'.
I'm pretty sure Jesus wasn't in His 'Sunday best' when He attended church. ;)

IF I had a daughter in my home...
I would not care what she wore to church, as long as it was clean and conservative.
I.E. No pictures or slogans (other than christian messages)
no holes in the jeans, no stained shirt...

The outside is not nearly as important as people think, What is important is what goes in the mind and heart!

Yes. Going to church to impress people is not what it is about. God sees us everyday and to be fake by impressing the gossiping old ladies is wrong. Get with the times please.
