cool...

Formal:
-'little black dress' always in style, and looks great on EVERYONE! you can add cute accessories to mix it up, like chockers or funky earrings. (very sexy)

-black pencil skirt, white blouse, and red beltat waist. it's a really popular look ths season. (maybe it wouldn't be your style...i dunno)

-pinstripe pants, matching blouse color. To make the outfit less gay/boring, get pants that have pink and white pinstripes instead of just white, and wear a pink blouse. cute, right??? (super-cute)

Or, less formal:
-hot pair of straight leg pants, red heels, pinstripe/dressy or formal jacket, and rocker tee shirt. (it'll look really hott.)

-straight leg pants, knee-high boots, matching jacket, and ur fav shirt. (trendy and pretty)

-black dressy top, cute pants (any kind), and black heels. (simple, sophisticated, and sexy.)

Well, that's it! hope i could help. And try on these looks before you attend the party! Good luck, God bless, and have fun!

Depending upon where you work, there are a few different outfits that should be appropriate in most places...

If you normally wear jeans, spice it up a bit and wear a skirt or some dressy pants! My recommendation is to wear some sleek black pants, a trendy but conservative (for the workplace) red sweater, heels, and throw some gold accessories in there. Maybe some gold dangly earrings, a braclet, or a long necklace. I would just make sure not to overdue it. If you wanted to do a skirt, definitely make sure it is longer, no minis!

If you wanted to stick to the jeans, make sure you wear a darker pair with some heels or cute flats. For a top, you could find a dressy, patterned top or once again, a sweater.

Lastly, if you really wanted to go all out, find a spunky cocktail dress (maybe red with a gold pattern?) and wear a little black or cream colored sweater over it. I would recommend flats with the dress, as heels can be overpowering and sometimes trashy looking with skirts.

Have fun with your outfit! Just make sure it is conservative enough for the workplace. Happy Holidays!

You didn't say what kind of party. Formal, cocktail or informal?

Formal is black tie. Wear a floor length gown unless you want to look like the one person who didn't read the memo.

Cocktail is tea or knee length.

Informal is jeans and skirts or pants. I see a lot of Christmas sweaters at this type of year... most are horrible but I have a cute sequined black argyle sweater that is out of style but I may try to locate an updated one.

I agree about having a black dress, everyone needs one, but I have several depending on the styles above and the season.

The thing is about Christmas parties, they are supposed to require a different type of dress to elevate the spirit of the occasion. I can imagine a bunch of cute rocker girl clothes looking fab at the party. Just dress appropriate for your body style though, like nip your waist if you're curvy and elongate short legs with a longer boot cut pant and heels. Love low cut tops with a great fitting bra for someone with larger breasts, and something backless, layered, or very short skirt for someone without any chest.

every girl should have the staple of fashion: the little black dress. I got the perfect one from the black/house white/market store. I also have a silver fabric colored dress that is PERFECT for new years ;) You should go out, buy your lil black dress, and some RED pumps!!

I think that skirts tend to either look kind of trashy or cheap if they are tight and short, or they are just the ordinary jean skirts that aren't necessarily sexy.
