I in fact have that problem right now, but I won't reprimand her. I will let her know we are available to listen and give a male point of view, and her mother will give a female point of view. She must make her own decisions but it doesn't hurt to be able to talk to your parents about anything, our married daughter knows that and we know she will make the best decision possible.

No. If it'd be anyone's business to reprimand her, the primary responsibility for doing that would lie on the shoulders of her husband.

Well that would depend entirely on whether or not she had valid reasons for disobeying him. I agree that a husband is the head of the house-hold, and we are to obey him as he is also supposed to love us as Christ loves the church. It would also depend on whether or not she sought advice or justification from me.

NO!! If She's Old Enough To Be Married Than She's Old Enough To Make Her Own Decisions. And One Decision Should Be To Leave Him If He's Giving Her ORDERS.

NO! She is not OWNED by anyone. She has rights, the same as he does, and I'd be damn if some man was going to tell me what to do!! She is over 18, the parents should keep their noses out of her affairs, unless she asks for their opinion!! It sounds to me like he is trying to control her, and that is one of the first signs of abuse. Verbal and mental abuse, then it turns to physical abuse.

She can do what she wants in her own marriage. And disobeying her husband. I didn't know you had to obey, can you feel that sarcasm?

Women have equal rights. My boyfriend doesn't tell me what to do and I don't tell him. We live together in the same house and he does his own laundrey and he cleans up after himself. We both cook together. My boyfriend is a good man, and I love him and I know he would never disrespect me. Real men clean up after themselves and respect women.

It is NOT the Parents place anymore to get involved. To do so would cause (possibly permenant) problems for you and your daughter.

No, she's an adult and can do what she pleases. I dare someone to say to obey the husband. We aren't in the old days anymore.
