His friends/family would frown upon it, and all the crap that probably comes along with that profession (i.e. drugs, etc). But, he says he thinks he has something to bring to the table, and it's his dream job. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

He could use an alias, an "artisitic" name.

"Drugs?" Please, he's not gonna become a junkie just cuz he directs porn. If he doesn't want to do drugs, then he's got nothing to worry about. WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL? Just don't do it.

If he believes that filming consenting adults engaging in sexual acts would be his life long dream come true then by all means film it. If his family doesn't like it then he always has his friends. My family wouldn't like it either but they would still be my family and love me.

I would tell him to find a new dream that would actually benefit humanity and not lower self-esteem in people.

Film his best friends masturbating. If he can get them to do it, or make it look sexy, he has no business in porn.
