I felt exactly the same way through my pregnancy ..I am due on dec 26th & still worried about that happening . But since im so far along ..it would be ok.
I dont think you can strain hard enough to break your water like that ..it hasnt happened to me yet. I was super careful when going to the bathroom ..i was even afraid of sneezing or coughing too hard ..but I think all of that is just fine.

Well, it is possible for your water bag to break anytime, but it's usually not due to the bowels pushing on it. It has more to do with infection, how strong your water bag is and other unknown factors. You could break your water while pooping but it probably won't happen because of pooping and gas. My water broke in my first pregancy and I wasn't having any gas issues or pooping. I was lying down watching a movie when all of a sudden there was a flood of water coming out. So I ran to the bathroom and even more came out. If this does happen to you - note the color of the water and call your doctor or nurse midwife immediately since if the water is not clear they may need to induce right away because of infection. If the water is clear - you need to have labor within about 12 hours to minimize risk of infection and trauma to the baby.

It is possible in certain very rare circumstances, but why worry about it? It's not painful. It just feels like the elastic snapped in your nickers. Then the water comes out. If there's just a leak of water it's OK to stay home for a bit, but if there's a rush, like a cup or more, go straight to hospital as things might be further than you think. Hope you have a good birth, and don't be afraid. Women were designed to have babies, it's a natural process. Best wishes.

It's possible but only by coincidence. Don't push too hard. DON'T feel bad for asking. My water broke and I didn't even realize because I had to pee all the time and I only had a little water. I waited a day because my labour pains were every 10min and the 7min 10 min 7 min. and so on. I thought it was false labour (the pain wasn't much) I finally thought I should get checked. 6 hours later I had a baby girl. Always ask!

If you are pale skinned, this is a common problem. Alternate exfoliating your armpits [ Aapri or ST. Ives apricot scrub ] one day and shaving the next day. Make sure your pits are completely dry - use your blow dryer on cool if you have to - before you apply deodorant. Make sure when you shave that you do it from different angles [ north to south, then south to north - don't do different directions on any other part of your body ]. Use a good shaving gel, and don't use your razor more than 3-4 times.

She means if she pushes to take a ****...then she is afraid that the action of pushing too hard will make her water (bag of amnitoic fluid) break...
To answer your question...I have never heard of it breaking like this...I think more woman than just you have this fear lol...Just make sure you have enough fiber in your diet...and you should me fine...
And, on a note...I am not saying that this happening is not possible...just not very probable..

Your water will only break when it is time to break. Unless of course you have some kind of complication which is rare. But, in a normal pregnancy you should be able to push that terd out without any problems. go poop girl, and I hope it all comes out good.

Not to scare you but that is exactly where my water broke with my daughter. I just got to the hospital in time. 14 minutes from start to finish. But with that said - I hadn't been feeling well during the entire day (guess, I was in the early stages of labor). Although, I felt like I had to go "pressure wise" - I wasn't straining.

LOL. I was worried about the same thing when I was pregnant. I was afraid to ask because I didn't want to sound stupid. I did ask my doc though and he said that it doesn't happen. He said everything is all tight and snug in there, everything is secure. Although, if you are constipated, don't over exert yourself by all means, that's not even good for you when you aren't pregnant. You'll give yourself hemerroids (if you don't already have them).

I have never heard of that so I wouldn't worry about it. Your water may very well break while your in the bathroom but not because of anything your doing.
