Extremely weak, you tend to overlook things, then later regret not getting to know that person enough.

Extremely strong, your willing to put everything on the line and set yourself up for some helacious rejection, or heartbreak.

Is there not always to sides on a coin?

Love makes you VULNERABLE, which is not the same thing as being weak. Having vulnerabilities and surviving, however, requires strength. I know some people who aren't strong enough to love, but this is not the fault of love.

In other words, it's not that love makes you weak... but rather that it requires strength if it is going to flourish.

Love can never make anyone weak,
yet it always makes everyone weak.

It depends on what you define as weak.

Personally, I think love makes you vulnerable on one side, but stronger on the other. Love can possess a person so wholly that the object of your affection becomes your Achilles Heel because you would do absolutely anything for them/it. But at the same time, because you become so determined to fight for this, love can give you steely determination and endurance to do what needs to be done.

Two cents. :D

The subtle strength usually is mistaken for a weakness.

I think that the Bible says it best

"there is NO greater love than this, that a man(woman) would lay his(her) life down for his(her) friends."

Not weak at all; totally unbeatable.

“Love does not cause suffering: what causes it is the sense of ownership, which is love's opposite”

“Perhaps love is the process of my leading you gently back to yourself”

“People love others not for who they are but for how they make them feel” ~ Irwin Federman quotes

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

”Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”

it shouldnt, but i think often the way we think of love, and how we practice it, can,, if we put others desires/wishes in front of our own, rather then seeing that a loving relationship should enable both/all to reach their desires/wishes etc

It clouds one's judgement.
One becomes dependent on it, and become weakened unawares, only realising that when love parts from them.
