there are two departments need to be meet or be connected into a single network. but the problem is that a patch cable of 70 meters wont work for them to be connected.

How can I connect a department to our main server/web server via switch that is 70 meters far from the other switch?

here's the diagram:

server+switch#1 <----------70 mtrs.---------------->switch#2+terminals

is there a posibility this network be connected to each other?

The cable length limit for 1000Base-T is 100 meters so a 70 meter connection should work.

If it's not working, you have a problem with your cabling. Make sure the cable is properly made up to the 568B standard, using Cat-5E or Cat-6 cable. Gigabit Ethernet is highly intolerant of cabling errors so check your work VERY carefully.

What kind of cable you usin? If it's 100 mbps then the limit is 11 meters.. You'd have to get a repeater to boost the signal...
