If you're getting A's and B's in your current classes, I think that you would do fine in nursing. I also think you could easily get into nursing school. Nursing is not only sciences, there's a lot of other areas involved. I would suggest narrowing down a few schools where you want to study nursing and talk directly with the head of the nursing departments and get a feel from them what they think before enrolling. In addition, there are many different areas of nursing that you can become involved in. Go to your college or local library and check out various books on nursing careers to see what's out there that interests you. It's really important in life to work in a job that you enjoy. Good luck in whatever you do.

I am 26 with two very young children and a full time job. If I can do it, so can you. Usually there are groups that help you with your sciences, which you need to have good grades in, and they do help. I'm in pre reqs now too and I am scared of the clinicals, but I want this so bad. Sometimes I wonder about it also, but then I think that my life will be so more fulfilled once I have accomplished this. Plus, I don't want to be a nurse's aide forever. You can do it. It has to be in your heart.

Stick with it but make sure it's what you wanna do. I'm a nurse and it has to be rewarding to you to care for others, cause you're giving them a part of yourself by meeting your patients needs. There is nothing easy about it. In nursing school you will learn time management along with plenty of other skills you will need to succeed. Think about if it's something you would like to do. Good Luck!

I am a nurse, the biggest piece of advice I can give you is; Do not give up. It is a difficult program but, if you are getting A's and B's in your prereqs, you definitely have the intelligence. Don't worry about retention, you will find a lot of the information coming back to you in future classes. Good luck to you!
