I can speak from experience. I am 28 years old and all my life there was a void. I needed a father figure to tell me what to do, who to date and love me like a dad loves his child. Since I didn't have that I looked for someone who would possibly love me in any way. I also tended to date guys that abandoned me or mentally and/or physically abused me. I felt the need to hurt myself because I didn't feel worth living. My mother did the best she could but God intended on the balance which is why the human race isn't A-Sexual. Men who are not involved with their children are killing their chances of being prosperous adults.

Just because you aren't the biological father doesn't mean that a child will love you less. Children just want to be loved....unconditionally.

I can tell you the effects on fatherlessness on daughters. They will look for someone to fill that empty space that father left either emotinally or physically. They will become promiscious and won't know why they do this. It's because their Daddy was not there to protect them. Boys...they will be become abusive to their mothers when they hit the teenyears. So if you're a dad, better be an on-top-of the problem Dad or you can basically see your daughter brind home babies without daddies and your sons in jail on thursday. godloveyou all.

Interesting article. Its sad.

I'd call it deadbeat dads who are around only enough to avoid a lawsuit or a feeling of guilt. They cant teach integrity.

I think most are spoiled brats, putting it mildly and are more apt to drop out of school, abuse drugs and or alcohol and get in trouble with the police
