Is there anything I can do late in pregnancy to help alleviate the sciatic nerve pain and charlie horses in the feet and cramps and pain every time I move? I talked to doc and they said this is not unusual but wondered if anyone out there may have come up with some ideas that can help them cope. I'm too active for bedrest!

Have you hubby/bf/gf whoever you are with even mom if yo uare single rub your legs, back whatever hurts. My hubby always rubbed my back and feet and legs everyday in my late pregnancy it helped a lot. As for cramps, eat bananas. Pottasium helps to lessen cramps. Sadly the only thing that will cure it is birth lol. Almost there sweety Huggz

For the sciatic nerve pain, try to avoid taking long strides, bending over frequently, picking up heavy objects, or activities such as vacuuming. For the pain in your feet, soak them in warm water and epsom salts. For the leg cramps, walk or tilt your feet forward and back. The cramps will go away quicker. I have the cramps and sciatic nerve pain really bad right now, and I'm only 27-weeks along! The only real cure for you is to have that baby, and you're not far from it. Chin up! You're almost finished, you lucky thing, you!

have you tried a cheap abdominal swing/belt one that is made for pregnancy this helps lift the growing uterus off the nerves. also warm baths/Jacuzzi your prenatal vitamins have the potassium and calcium your body needs so you need not add more, also have you tried massage therapy, in some states this can be ordered as part of physical therapy and insurance will pay. these are the routine answers we give over the phone to Pt's. that call with these complaints but as a woman who has given birth and 21 yrs OB nursing the only real cure is delivery.. these suggestions I gave you only alleviate the pain short term throughout the day.. sorry.. but good luck and congrats

When you get charlie horses in your legs you need to pull your toes up and stretch the muscle and it will stop the pain.
