Because I am assuming since there are no places that teach Czech in the United States, there would be no places that teach Czech in China, India, Niger, Russia, etc.

Czech is becoming one of those languages that you see more and more in "Language CD" arena. When we moved there 10 years ago, no one even knew what or where Czech was. There are more and more places, universities in the US that are offering Czech as a language (i.e. Indiana University) or offering a year abroad in connection with different universities in Czech. It is also taught in some Universities in the UK (Bristol University, for example).

Also, I know Czech for Foreigners is offered at the Universities in Brno and Masaryk U. in Prague. There are many private courses as well.

For people coming from Russia and other Slavic countries, Czech is not so difficult to learn, as, even though that are different languages, they have a very similar grammar structure since Czech is a Slavic language, too.

There are a number of places in Czech republic. Most of them are for English speaking people, although you'll also find Czech for Russian speakers. Try www.educo.cz.
(I wish they would teach for Tagalog speakers... wive's English is bad enough).
