Maybe. One of my problems has been artificial fear. This kept me pretty passive. Yet as I have taken steps to solve that problem I have become a bit of an azz. I may actually cause more problems once I solve mine.

Yes.
I find it funny that so many people in high positions (and have the power to change the world) have such a crappy personal life. I mean seriously, there is something very wrong when your psychiatrist is listening to your problems in order to forget about his.
It's odd..
I just think people shouldn't attempt to solve the problems of others when they have to go home to their own chaos.
And there's no esteem to be had in solving the problems of the world if you can't even solve your own...

That depends. Do you and the world have a lot in common? For example, are you experiencing famine, like some parts of the world? Are you melting like the polar caps? In some aspects, I guess we can start by solving our own problems, such as greed, fear, morals. However, not for ALL of the world's problems.

Only when you can define the difference between a problem of yours or a problem belonging to another, because we are pron-ed to solving other peoples mysteries when we can not see our own,but we can know some of ourselves.community is a funny thing when it comes to owning things, that is where the specifics come out. and the scattering, try giving the community one of your biggest problems and they will give it back to you unanswered, in your desired response. kind of like oil and water.

: Absolutely. If I solve my own problem that means you /the world doesn't have to. One less problem. What if everyone did that? No more problems. - But then, we also would have to stop creating problems for others as well, wouldn't we?

Absolutely no. I and my life is not even close to the problems in the world. I do things to help in my community, but only as a volunteer. There is nothing I could do for my own problems that would help the world.

if you want to solve the problems of the world you would have to start by solving problems of your own. you know what they say. that in order to be at peace with the world you must be at peace with yourself first.

If you are ignorant, of course, it must start with you. For most of us. who aren't as mentally challenged, it begins by eliminating ignorance. When we stop represent beliefs as fact, many of our problems would be solved. Maybe the religious arena would be a good starting point. Visit my blog on Yahoo (i8thr2) and lend a hand with this. It is time.
