I downloaded the blackberry software 4.10 for my BB 8700c and nothing shows up in my start up or my desktop. I've called support 3 times and they send me the download instructions for www.cingular.com/downloads. I download the .exe and nothing launches. If I save and then try to launch nothing happens. What's up? Why isn't windows XP picking up the 'new program'? HELP!

I can understand that would be terribly frustrating! What I would suggest to you is to carefully document your current settings (an easy way is to go into each of your options in the desktop manager and take a screen shot, then paste into word).

Next, get your updated software directly from RIM

and install. Once you are finished, check your settings to ensure that they match the settings you have documented.

Finally - synch your blackberry using the new software, and follow any other follow-up instructions that the software upgrade suggested.

Here's a great resource to learn all the cool stuff you can do with Blackberry's:

Good luck!
