kb/s is kilobyt per second...usually used to show the transfer (download or upload) speed..
for example 23kb/s, means that each second 23 kilobytes is transferred

Looks like we have quite a few folks that don't know that capitalization matters! (And a very few who do.)

KBps is KiloBYTES per second.
Kbps is KiloBITS per second.

A byte is typically comprised of 8 bits -- 10 if you count protocol overhead or 11 with dial-up networking for protocol overhead and control bits. Therefore there's a massive difference between KBps and Kbps.

Kilobytes per second...it is the speed of data transfer for how many bytes of data to be sent or recieved..also 1 kilo is equal to 1024 bytes of data.
