cause I had 5% now i have 3% why is the percent lower?

its this way cuz u answered more questions and ur # of best answers didnt increase.......so ur percentage of ur total # of best answers didnt increase

The percentage sign represents the percentage of your answers chosen as "best answer". The more answers you write, the lower your percentage will go, unless some of those are chosen to be the best answers.

it is the percentage out of the total questions you have answered that have been chosen as best. Your percentage is lower now, because you have answered more questions...therefore, you need more votes for best answer to elevate the percentage back up.

Yahoo calculates the percentage of your answers that are best answers, though not accurately. Yours probably went down because you answered more questions.

It's the percent of total answers of yours that were voted best.
As you answer more questions, your 'best answer' total tends to go down, as it gets diluted, so to speak.
