you can get a DVD burner and burn them on a DVD. but if you dont wanna go that way, file breaker and combiner softwares are able to halp you. what this program does is break the file into pieces to be burnt onto different disks and then join them later where you want to copy them. now, this is case specific. assuming you have one file. Another way, if your files are video files you have the option to recode them into a different compressed format and then burn onto cd. did u know u can make a mini dvd on a cd? difference is the amount of video the cd can hold in DVD format. the cd with the DVD compressed video is called mini DVD. i can help you more if you can supply me with more information on exactly what type of files you want to burn. Cheers

Yea, lots of apps support overburning, but don't expect the disk to play on anything you put it in. Overburning writes to the lead-out, which results in a disk that is not a standard disk anymore. If it is only data, I would compress it with 7zip, its free and compresses better than most apps you have to pay for. If it is a music disk try to burn it with no breaks between the songs. If it's a video try to trim it up a little, maybe cut off some credits or something.

See if your drive supports overburning [1]. Compressing such a large file and then decompressing just to read the contents of the disk will be very time consuming, particularly with such a large file. There is also the possibility that the data is not even compressible, thus wasting your time.

Use a tool to compress them, like PKZIP.

Downside is you mist uncompress them in order to use them.

You can also find free "file splitting" programs on the net, which chop programs into smaller parts.

Finally, use a 1gb thumb drive, or a DVD.

Nero allows overburning...

Get a disk with more capacity. I have some 817mb ones and the 800's are available.

Get a DVD burner and put 4.5G on a disk!
