i found out only a few days ago that i am a little over 5months pregnant. this was an unplanned pregnancy, and i've been told my options are now limited. i was also told that no doctors would see me because i haven't had any prenatal care yet. if anyone is in the atlanta area and knows of a doctor where i can get a prenatal exam and what all it involves, that would be great. i am just so lost on what to do.

Sweetheart you need to see a doctor ASAP. Like this week if posssiable. There are laws that prevent many drs from refusing care. Go to hospital, planned parenthood or womens health center if you lack insureance. If you have insurance you have a more open (not nesseccerely better) choice in docters. At this point you may no longer abort. you may adopt or keep the baby.

I was 5 months along when I saw my doctor for the first time... because we didnt have insurance before that. It envolved a bloodtest to confirm pregnancy, a pelvic exam and pap smear to test for any STD's or anything that could harm the baby, and an ultrasound. I also had to endure a couple extra tests that they usually stretch out.. but because it was so late in my pregnancy they had to do them all at once, so they drew alot of blood.. but its not that bad. it is unethical for a doctor to deny you care because you havent seen anyone yet! extreemly unethical. You should call the local planned parenthood office, explain your situation, and ask them for a suggestion or a reccomendation on where to go. They will have a list of local doctors who can help you. Good luck!

You have to go to a doctor asap. I doubt that any doctor would actually refuse you. Just start calling obgyns in your phone book or whatever ones are under your insurance. Or call that 1800 baby-.... (its probably somewhere on the web)I don't know the rest of that number and they will find you a clinic you can go to.

I would think you'd be able to find a doctor to see you. Prenatal care now is better than none at all! Call your clinic and see what they can set up for you!
