I need to follow up to my question yesterday about "welfare." I just want to say that I was NOT trying to put anyone who is legitimalty on governement help down. I am fully aware that there are people who do need help. People who have lost their jobs, or their spouse leaves them. I was just trying to comment that there are people who work the system and others who truly need help. Growing up, my father hurt himself at work and was wrongfully denied work comp. because his employer fought him. We were denied any governement assistance and went without groceries days at a time. Where is the justice in that? Would you not be cross with people who "work the system" and take away from those who need? I think people forget that there are a lot of working class citizens that need help too, but are forgotten or shuned by the system because they do work, therfore they don't qualify for help. Remeber that before you are quick to defend the opposing side. Happy holidays all.

I feel like you do if you really need the help you should be able to receive some assistance. I work 40 hrs per week and make 9 dollars per hour. I make about 1200 per month before taxes and have 2 kids to take care of and it is very hard. If i get insurance through my job for health and dental it about 500 a month I struggle just to pay bills, rent and keep food in the house and I can't get any help becuz they say I make to much money. So it is really hard out here and no one wants to give you a helping hand to make so you have to do what every and sometimes it something you don't want to so but you have to take care of them babies so what else can you do but make it the best way you know how.

I agree with you 100%. It sucks! You see these people who live in the project bldgs and are on Link yet they drive around in $45,000-$50,000 dollar cars. This pisses me off. I know a lot of people who pull this type of sh*t. It just isn't right

that is why you look up the appropriate hotline when you witness the crime of people defrauding the system, and report it.
