Okay, so I recently got new eye glasses and wanted a change from the normal metal frames. I got the thick framed (or what most people call "emo glasses") style and don't know if they enhance my natural characteristics or what. They look a lot like this:

Well.....would they look good on girls with a small facial structure, long, thin face?

I dunno if they're "dorky" or "chic". Help?

If it helps, I have a tan-ish complexion and am a brunette.

I am an optician, and it is very hard to answer this question without a picture. Generally rectangle shaped frames are flattering unless you have very angular features, (square jaw line, etc). The link you posted didn't show a specific pair of glasses, but assuming that they were rectangular black "emo glasses" they should compliment dark hair nicely. And of course, they are in style, so you don't need to worry. :-D

I wear glasses too and although the link doesn't work I think I recall Emo glasses.

I personally feel that women who wear those type of glasses only really attract guys who love women who wear glasses.

If you try the wireless/rimless glasses I bet you will meet more guys regardless of whether they are into glasses.

You didn't ask about being more attractive to men but I threw that in. I also think that having a thin face requires glasses to really be picked out with some help from a real optician. Not a salesperson who wants to top you out at your price range.

The great news is that a lot of funky glasses actually work with different people's face shape. I have some really funky ones and I get compliments all the time... and my haircut and my glasses go together so it looks like I am purposefully styled not just whipped together. I hate it when a really chic person wears glasses that are "safe" and they really bring that person down. Think Tina Fey... girl, your glasses are all I see.

it depends on the shape of your face. thick rimmed glasses round out a square face so if you have a round face, dont
