Oooohh.................yeahh yeahh........
When I first laid eyes on you
I knew you were my guardian angel
No one in this world could relight my fire
No one in this world could reach for my soul deep within
Like you did

(Bridge)
And I know
This is called love at first sight
That doesn't fear any heights
And I would just pray
For you to remain by my side

(Chorus)
AHHHHHHHH.........(x3)
Do you know I really wanna make out with you?
Do you know I really wanna hook up with you?
AHHHHHHHH....
Do you know
That my affections for you is true......
Til the day I die

But whenever I see you
It just makes me cry
Being not able to have your mind, body and soul
Really torments me inside
No one ever made me feel this painful
Except for you
And now I know
That heartbreak is embodied within me and you
So goodbye....
My lover...

I would be interested to hear the tune you have with it.

But James is into writing his own songs so maybe it would do you better to record it yourself?

His management company's address is:

If you do send it, chances are it'll never even be read. For one, professionals in the music industry generally don't accept unsolicited lyrics. For another, James Blunt writes his own songs.

I'm not trying to be mean here, but it's honestly pretty bad. A lot of it is over-the-top and kind of cheesy. And the lines don't seem like they all belong in the same song. I mean, "Do you know I really wanna make out with you? / Do you know I really wanna hook up with you?" in the same song as "When I first laid eyes on you / I knew you were my guardian angel"? And maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I really don't think direct references to making out and hooking up have any place in a love song. And things like "ohhh"s and "ahhh"s and "yeah"s aren't usually written in the lyrics. They're put in by the singer when she/he is performing or recording the song as stylistic elements.

My advice is for you to keep working on your song writing- you'll get better at it with time and practice, and either try singing them yourself (if you've got a good voice) or asking someone you know who has a good singing voice to sing them.

Tough question. there are multiple aspects of "love". Wanting, searching, discovery, casual, happy/sad, male/female viewpoint, unrequited, fulfilment, wonder, and disappointment/failed (not to restrict the definitions to these few). Some songs I think of that fit some of those general descriptions are: "Unchained Melody" Righteous Brothers "When A Man Loves A Woman" Percy Sledge "I Will Always Love You" - Whitney Houston "Walk On By" - long (about 12 mins) version off "Hot Buttered Soul" by Isaac Hayes (Also great by Dionne Warwick, but I favor the Hayes version a bit) "Sad-eyed Lady Of The Lowlands" - Bob Dylan "Diamonds And Rust" - Joan Baez (Dylan led me here - sorry - last one for sure!)

I don't know who James Blunt is but if he is like most people in the music industry he won't accept unsolicited music. Unless it is given to him by someone he knows he won't even listen to it.
