Yes. I love Art Nouveau and Art Deco (out of necessity because they are still in price range). I would love to collect Biedermeir but way out of my price range unless I win the lottery. I swear if I were to win the lottery, I would buy a Frank Lloyd Wright home and blow all the money furnishing it!
When I lived in the UK, I always went to auctions and antique fairs. I don't do it quite so much here in the States because anything over 30 years old has a horrendous price tag.

My parents were antique dealers in Long Island, NY. I used to hang out in the shop when I was little, prior to the divorce.... happy times.
That said, I have always had an appreciation for antiques...and I have a nice collection myself.
I am quite fond of historic lithographs & antique glass.

I seem to inherit antiques. I like the stuff thats passed down more because of the memories that have soaked in.

Yes, I have a basement full of antique clothing, fabric, lace, buttons... all 1700's and 1800's. I'm nuts, got it after my mum too.

I collect small ones, I don't have the money for the big ones yet. Plus, I have small children.

got into this 12 years ago when i met my wife.usually things she finds in flea market or 2nd hand stores. we just take off in a direction and drive till we come across some place interesting and start looking around. maybe we find something maybe not,the thrill is in the hunt.
