Xbox Live?

Ok me and my friend always try to connect on a video game called halo 2. We both use xbox live. Everytime we try to connect it says "Cannot connect, network problems." But we both can connect to other people. Ive also even tried joining a party wiht other people with him in it, but when they leave and we are alone it lags out. Please help.

Maybe its because something's goofy with the connection. Duh.

this happened to me and what we did was just sign out and then sign back in untill it worked.
