would you still get it, if you were on drugs i.e. cocaine, meth, heroin..... this is all hypothetical, i saw a show on something i was just curious,

Well provided it was'nt arson(deliberately lit)you should be covered.At least by the terms of the policy.For example if you were smoking in bed or something your still covered.Or if you did some home maintenance that inadvertantly caused your home to burn down.Your still covered.For the insurer not to be liable,they'd have to prove arson

depends on the policy. Not all fire insurance policies are the same. I'm pretty sure, that no policy would cover losses in the case of arson, but the specific policy terms would dictate whether accidental starting of a fire is covered, even if it is by an intoxicated person.
