I've had German, Porta Rican, French and Russian girlfriends and yes I loved their accents, especially when making love.
We had fun together because I couldn't understand a lot of things they would say to me and I'd look at them funny and then we'd start laughing.

I think your perspective is held by a lot of teen agers... not only in Britain. It is a time to find yourself and try to fit in and people will do anything to itIdiots are everywhere. However, there are great people everywhere too (they are just not as easy to spot). Tourists may find LA to be great, a diversion... but its a terrible place. My suggestion is to find who you are, ( a great question to start with- Who am I? beyond your body, friends, thoughts) and work to make the island and world a better place. One person can make a huge difference! I don't live in Britain, but have visited from Canada. I loved it, but as you say visitors would. Great culture and the people I met were fantastic. I found the country beautiful, how ever gloomy at times.

Does Canada count? No accent, but lots of other differences. I'd move up there in a second! I like the way those people say eh? after every third sentence! LOL!

I have, and no, I didn't have a problem with their accent, otherwise I would not have been attracted to them. And loved to learn about their culture, though at first it was hard.

Many times, but it's always an issue with colour, race, religion etc.
I remind people that babies are born naked with no religion; but most people do not get it!
