I just don't get Christine. I want to know if someone can explain me her true feelings towards Raoul and the Phantom. Because sometimes I think she loves one, then the other, and then none of them. What do you think?

She does love Raoul but she also feels for the Phantom, but in the end she realises that Raoul loves her for herself and the Phantom wants to possess her, she shows him (the Phantom) that love is warm and kind not cruel and possessive and he realises this at the end and that is why he lets Raoul and Christine go and he disappears.

Christine loves Raoul because they were childhood sweethearts. Christine loves the Phantom because he is teaching her to sing his music. It's hard to understand why Christine chosen Raoul. I guess that Raoul had more to offer than the Phantom had given to her.

Personally, I think that she's convinced herself she's in love with Raoul because she's flattered he remembers her and thinks of her in that way. I don't think she really LOVES the Phantom either, though; I think that while there's sort of a foundation for love, she never had the chance to get to know him well enough to love him.

She loves Raoul because they've know eachother since they were children, so its a deep, mutual, real love. But she is drawn to the Phantom as if she cannot help it, because of his music and his allure, but its not love. The phantom is obsessed with her so it isn't mutual. hope this kind of explains it.

Depends - if you read the book or have seen the play....she loves both. Raul for the fact that they were childhood friends, and they form/rekindle a true romance. She loves the phantom as he was the fullfillment of her fathers promise to send an angel to watch over her. In the novel, she actually chooses the phantom in the end, staying with him until his "death" (could be construed as a disappearance) only to reunite with Raul after.
