They say arkansas, louisana and now you have added mo,,,But the natural beauty might be worth it,,,,and if you have to travel by car and not fly then you have the time to enjoy the sights and customs and new and fresh smells and get to know the friendly people as they really are quite charming and so not the usual of the metro areas....Good Luck.

We have a joke around here that says once you leave Texas and move into NM you will know just by the bumps in the roads.
Seriously we went to North Carolina a few years ago. It was a 24 hour shot me and my hubby took turns driving and sleeping. The way back was the same way.
My hubby was sleeping when we entered back into NM, but he literally woke up and said "were almost home huh?" without even looking out the window.

Look at the roads of Orissa(not the roads of major cities but for smaller towns), i think you will change your opinion.
You can't even overtake a man on bicycle, its bizarre.
