I think it is a christmas song--i keep hearing it at work so i can't really understand the lyrics!
It is sung by a woman and it is a slow song
Some of the lyrics are "i wish i could escape"
and "get a lot of money and get away from this crazy scene" or something to that effect....does anyone know the song?

It is River, and Sarah McLachlan did just release it on her Christmas compilation, "Wintersong."
The song was written and originally performed by Joni Mitchell, however.
