I do not know about grizzly bear encounters, but a full grown moose can standoff a pack of wolves, if health and young. Of course, a moose keeps moving, so the attack line of wolves is strung out, allowing the moose to turn and rebut a fragmented attack. I saw a encounter in Alaska that was exactly like this. A pack of, perhaps 10 to 13 wolves. Hard to count, they were so strung out. A really do not think you could get a pack of wolves to attack a grizzly that easily. This is truly a hypothetical situation.

I think a pack of wolves would be more powerful than a Grizzly Bear simply because if u have 10 wolves that would be 1000lbs of high powered, high indurance razor sharp, bone crushing jaws, that would be tearing and shredding the bear up not to mention if the bear had gotten ahold of one there would be 9 more pretty much eating it alive, also when a wolf attacks they grab ahold of the victim by its jaws and yank the animal down and once the animal is down a few will hold it down while the rest start devouring it alive

Dependsupon the size of the pack of wolves. I would suggest that the pack of wolves would be more powerful if there were at least 12 wolves.
The wolves would overpower the bear anyway as they would be able to spread their attention over his whole body and each of them comes complete with a full set of muscles, claws and teeth.
In other words 12 sets of muscles claws and teeth against one set.
The grizzly would have to kill all the wolves in the pack before it was safe but the wolves only have one animal to kill.
Try it on your karate instructor, get 30 kids to attack one karate instructor, (WITH HIS OR HER PERMISSION) and you'll see how tough a time the karate instructor has. Kids aren't equivalent to wolves though because when you break one of their legs, they stop running, wolves don't they just slow down.
Therefore the PACK of wolves is more powerful then the bear even though one wolf wouldn't have a hope in hell against the bear.'
That's why wolves hunt in packs.

i think a pack of wolves might be more powerful than a grizzly bear. simply because the bear is just one and you can outrun it. but the other one is a pack of wolves, which means more than one. it's more difficult to outrun more animals than just one.
