This guy who has this girl friend gets a call late one night from an ex, who he still has feeling for, she has a new man and she still has feelings for him too. and basically the guy singing is happy to hear from her because to him she is perfect and neither one had moved on from the love they once had.

Ok, this guy and this girl were once together. They have moved on with their lives, and both have someone. When he says 'is it gonna start a fight?' he is asking her if calling him will make trouble with her boyfriend. 'My girl's in the next room, sometimes I wish it were you.' He is sneaking and talking to her. But, they still love each other, and 'I guess we never really moved on.'
The chorus: "It's really good to hear your voice saying my name it sounds so sweet. Coming from the lips of an angel hearing those words it makes me weak." He's talking to a woman on the phone (not sure if it's his ex), but it's "the other woman". He's saying it's hard to stay faithful to his current woman, when the other woman has "lips of an angel". If you really listen and watch the video you'll get it.

if you watch the video, he's moved on because she didn't love him anymore but when it was convienent for her to come back to him, she calls him up and makes him weak. He starts out the song by saying why are you calling so late, can't talk loud (as there is a girl in the background of the video as he is talking on the phone to his ex)

it's no wonder you don't understand. from the name of the song, you'd think the artist wants you to think it's talk by an angel. if you can remember the last time you listened to an angel, you should ask yourself if you understood what you heard. maybe it's just that you don't understand the angel language. i hope that helps.
