that didn't get the applause it should have?
I like history so maybe I'm biased, but I thought it showed a side of New York City that many never thought of.....there was alot of ethnic wars back then in this country, and I thought the portayal was decent.

I especially thought the last scene was good with the cemetery.....how through the years everything was changing and eventually you see that by the present time, those years were largely forgotten as the cemetery grows weeds and gets old.

I liked it a lot, I have watched many times. Lots of people didn't like it because it is really violent, but it's a great film.

YES! It was an AWSOME MOVIE! My favorite part was also at the end where you get to see New York change from the past to present.

sorry, i thought it was really boring and di caprio was miscast as usual. as was diaz. yes, it dealt with an interesting piece of U.S. history, but the movie itself was a disappointment. however, it did get some decent reviews, if i recall.
