Courtyard is a brand of Marriott hotels targeted towards business travelers. They offer high speed internet access, 24 hour foods market and a continental breakfast. There's a Courtyard in Windsor about 20 miles from London. Here's what they offer:

mlivly is totally right. I work at a Holiday Inn Express and I have worked at a courtyard style hotel nd there is a Marriott Courtyard next to this Holiday Inn express

same as any other Hotel exept they are in a courtyard ,they tend to be in old buildings because of that and are quiet because they are not in the main road ,also private parking,
there are a lot of court yards in London.

It is indeed a brand of hotel, but it is also a type of hotel. There is one main entrance, (aside from emergency exits) and all the the rooms open to an inside atrium of sorts instead of the doors to the rooms opening to an outside parking lot or area.
