humanity by its very nature never seem to stop searching for solutions. Can we ever reach a state of perfection?

Yes, by ceasing to exist. Since entropy (chaos) is manifest in the universe as much as order, and all things that exist are a part of that twin order and chaos--and are always changing, there is no way that anything which exists can achieve pure order and still be conceived as 'existing.' Thus, human beings cannot be perfect because imperfection is a defining characteristic of human beings. To remove imperfect is to remove humanity. In conclusion, human beings cannot be perfect as long as they remain human beings.
Nonetheless, human beings do achieve other states once they are no longer human beings--namely after death. Since all humans are mortals and inevitably shall perish, there is a perfection in expiration.
All people, young, old, rich, poor, healthy, deformed, sick, brilliant, ignorant, wicked, noble, ancient, modern, male, female, or whatever may have you have perished, are perishing or shall perish. At that stage, we all are equal.
Mortality unites us all.

Perfection is static and absolute whereas humanity and culture is about change and evolution. I think there are better solutions and worse ones but I don't think perfection is achievable, since no two people see the world in exactly the same way who's to say what perfection even is?

In one of his songs, Sting writes:

To search for perfection
Is all very well
But to look for Heaven
Is to live here in Hell

food for thought...

No i don't think so, man has such a different thought pattern to other living creatures of the world, We have emotions and feelings beyond our own imaginations. There is always someone who is going to be better than you but that's because you believe they are, its all about how you approach situations and your feelings about yourself. Perfection is boring and what are going to do if we ever reached that? there would be nothing left. We keep trying to search for solutions but we don't see that in reflect we are actually making things more complicated.

We are never 100% happy with our lives and focus too much on what other people have or don't have, we have to learn to accept that things are the way they are and learn to be happy with the way things are

i think the answer is no, and i also think that that seems to be the main idea of christianity. the only thing that man can never do is become god (god being perfect). humans are nothing without something to strive for. we are by nature, explorers and when we feel like we know everything, we become depressed and feel like we are in a prison. its just our instinct to strive for perfection, but once we reach it, our instinct goes unfulfilled and we begin to self destruct. that is why ignorance is bliss. if we were ever to reach perfection, we would be the most miserable being ever to have existed.

Mankind reach perfection -- on its own?
Not even relative perfection!
However, it Remains God's purpose for earth to be Filled with happy, healthy, righteous mankind -- and He is No Quitter! (;
He has shown time & time again that He both can & does fulfill His promises, so we* have no doubt in His promise of an earthly paradise, for all who choose to cooperate with His divine plans ...

Perfection in the absolute sense --to an infinite degree, without limitation-- applies only to the Creator, who is incomparable in excellence, worthy of all praise, supreme in superb qualities & powers, whose "name alone is unreachably high".

"Perfection of any other person or thing, then, is relative, not absolute. (Compare Ps 119:96.) That is, a thing is “perfect” according to, or in relation to, the purpose or end for which it is appointed by its designer or producer, or the use to which it is to be put by its receiver or user. "

"The words te′lei·os (adjective), te·lei·o′tes (noun), and te·lei·o′o (verb) are used similarly in the Christian Greek Scriptures, conveying such ideas as bringing to completeness or full measure, being full grown, adult, or mature**, having attained the appropriate or appointed end, purpose, or goal***."

**(1Co 14:20; Heb 5:14) ***(Joh 19:28; Php 3:12).

"For obedient mankind this means a return to the perfect state enjoyed by man at the beginning of human history in Eden. Thus, humans will be able to enjoy not only perfection as to faith and love but perfection as to sinlessness; they will measure up fully and faultlessly to God’s righteous standards for humans."

"Mankind’s perfection will be relative, limited to the human sphere. Yet it will certainly afford those gaining it the ability to enjoy earthly life to the fullest degree possible. “Rejoicing to satisfaction [to the full] is with [Jehovah’s] face,” and God’s ‘tenting with mankind’ shows that obedient mankind is meant, those toward whom Jehovah’s face turns with approval. (Ps 16:11; Re 21:3; compare Ps 15:1-3; 27:4, 5; 61:4; Isa 66:23.) Perfection does not mean an end to variety, however, as persons often assume. The animal kingdom, which is the product of Jehovah’s ‘perfect activity’ (Ge 1:20-24; De 32:4), contains enormous variety. Perfection of the planet Earth is likewise not incompatible with variety, change, or contrast; it allows for the simple and the complex, the plain and the fancy, the sour and the sweet, the rough and the smooth, the meadows and the woods, the mountains and the valleys. It embraces the stimulating freshness of early spring, the warmth of summer with its azure-blue skies, the loveliness of autumn colors, the pure beauty of freshly fallen snow. (Ge 8:22) Perfect humans will thus not be stereotypes of identical personality, talents, and abilities."

According to the prayer, “Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth,” this planet is due to experience --in full force and effect-- the execution of God’s purposes. (Mt 6:10) The current wicked system will be destroyed. All faults and defects will be removed from survivors who continue obediently to demonstrate faith, so that what remains meets God’s standards of excellence, completeness, and soundness.

I think it depends on your description of perfection. If you have low expectations for perfection and have reached them all then there you go...If you have impossible expectations, then how will you ever reach them. If you can't ever reach them how do you know that it is perfection?
