where i work we feed them frozen bloodworms or brineshrimp. dragon fish are primarily nocturnal and blind, they get around the tank by sonar and are whats concidered a filter feeder, when they smell food, they start sucking in water and filtering out the bits of food (the big gulping motions they sometimes make) we melt the food down in a cup of tank water, suck it up in a turkey baster, and very slowly so as not to scare the fish, put the food right in front of them. its fun to watch them eat right from the baster

Dragon fish eat brine shrimp, live ghost shrimp is an excellent food, and would be a very good idea to keep a steady supply of them in your tank. Dragon fish have very small eyes and don't see their food very well and in a lot of cases starve, because tank mates eat the food before they can get to it! Live food is best for dragon fish, you can also use some sinking foods like algae chips, some times they will eat algae!Pet smart offers care sheets on all fish they sell, I would ask to speak to a manager about getting the proper info you need before e you purchase the fish! Good luck!

Well first I have to say that in the future you should do the research before you buy the fish! :-)
Next it's hard to give an answer without knowing the real name of the fish. The problem with common names such as "dragon fish" are that often they aren't universal or there are several fish using a similar name.

I'm going to assume this is a dragon goby in which case they eat live or frozen meaty foods.

Give the pet shop a call, usually at places like PetSmart they are happy to help, and there are usually little tags on the aquariums that tell the fish's diet.
