This is a conundrum since they talk of freedom and protecting our freedoms and fighting for our freedoms and this current crop unquestionably have done more to ACTUALLY limit our freedoms than all the rest iof the administrations over the last couple of generations - they are the masters of smoke and mirrors

And whats so wrong with wanting to have freedom? We live in America and thats what its all about, would you rather live in a communist country where you wouldn't be able to do what ever you want?

It's a cover for the fact that Republicans are taking away our freedoms. They're defending America by making it less free, as Norteamer says. It's all in the interest of national security, of course, and has NOTHING to do with enhancing their own power.
