Before anything you need to have a clue of values and stuff, you can't cut corners.
There is a 2006 book about baseball cards and their value
U can get it there
http://www.homeruncards.com/price-guide-values.htm
Then try to find a trader in your hometown, maybe the book can give you an idea where to sell them
On the ones that are not worth that much you can do ebay you will probably get the value, especially if you sell them a few at a time (Put Lot in the heading)
For the ones that are worth a lot go to a dealer.
It is going to take time if you want to get fair value you are going to have to research it, make that clear to your uncle.

Does your town or local arena/civic center have a sports swap meet type of thing every year? It might be worth it to wait until then but if you need to sell them ASAP then e-bay might be your best bet. That way you could maybe get a dealer to look at your collection and tell you what cards may have the best value and just try to sell those cards only. Some cities have those e-bay stores where for a small fee the people will list your stuff and sell it for you. e-bay also has features that would let you try to get the price you are asking for like reserve pricing or a buy it now feature. You may also want to try a classified ad in your local newspaper or maybe even put it on Post-A-Roo in the closest city to you. I have an album of basketball cards that were my Moms' that I am going to do that to. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Really, go thru the cards and catagorize them and make a list of what you have. It will take time to do this but then you will know exactly what you have. As for selling them, try ebay! Before doing this though, do your research on the cards to see if they really are worth selling. Some may not be worth anything but some may. So, check out ebay to see how they are selling and if you think that you will get anything out of them.

Recommend keeping the collection as a collection. Good web site is The Antique Road Show. You can write them for appraisal info.

check out local hobby and craft stores. You can also sell them on EBay, to a store that trades cards, put an ad in the local newspaper, or just go and sell them to anybody!
hope i helped :) xxxoooxxx

Find some trustworthy 10 year old kid to do it for you as a summer project. You could pay him with duplicates.

No fast way to do it. Not with THAT many cards. Do you have a local baseball card shop that you could have do it (that you can trust)?
