A better idea is to go to Control Panel, Add and Remove programs. Delete each program that you do not want.
Then you can go to the start file and get rid of programs that you do not want to load when you start up.
If you really want nothing there, then you can reinstall Windows. Then you will have to install each program that you want.

System restore will only select various past points , but will still have all the saved programs, trash, etc, etc...Even deleting the programs will still leave bits and leftovers in the registry, and it still wont be "clean." Best thing is to do a new, clean-install- either with their restore disk, or someone elses, using YOUR Key on your PC. All would be deleted, and you can start fresh.

Oh, well if you want to start up completely fresh with nothing but Windows you can just stick a Windows XP ( or something along those lines) CS in and format the drive so it can install a new one. If you want to do that from the computer without the cd...uhhh I don't know anyway so this will just BUMP this up a lil.
