I have been told there are two types of dark undereyes in existance. One is where if you get enough sleep and are healthy enough it'll go away. The other would be the kind that never does. At the age of 19, I have dark undereyes. I don't really sleep and I admit that they're a result of it. I was wondering if it's too late to try to get rid of them. I have tried sleeping enough for a day or two. Usually that doesn't work. The only other time was when I slept through a whole day or slept during strange hours. I once slept from 12:00 noon time to four o'clock and they dissappeared. So it's strange that they've went away even without enough sleep. could it be that it depends on the person and when their body rejuvenates themselves?

Your body goes into whats called sleep deprivation and that is what causes the dark rings so you can reverse them but you need to sleep 8 hours everyday for one week and then on the weekend sleep in as long as you can without anyone waking you up.....then your body can come out of sleep deprivation and from them continue sleeping 7 or so hours a night and try one day a week sleeping without an alarm clock and the dark circles will dissapear...

Sleep deprevation does not help. I do suffer from the same rings and at times they a better than others.

I make sure that I give the area around the eye a nice cleaning. This helps get rid of any obstruction making them feel better. Then I put a cooling eye pad over my eyes for about 20 minutes. Do not put it in the freezer if you buy or use one just put in the fridge and get it midly cold.

I would also recommend hooking your body up with enough sleep. Although you may have endurance now your body will show the signs and affects of stress later. So just make sure you are getting enough sleep. That really sounds like your source unless you suffer from other things like sinus problems.

Sometimes dark circles under the eyes can be caused by not getting enough sleep but also can be caused by allergies. The skin under the eyes is very delicate and thin. Some people are just naturally prone to the dark circles because of thin skin. You can use undereye conclealer to hide this.

It is a matter of how much do you stay awake, the dark undereyes is a result of the amount of hours that you use your eyes. Usually if you rest your eyes for a long time its enough to make them disappear (but I don't mean sleeping all day, that will just get them worst)

The better way to get ride of them is sleeping 6/7pm to 6am every day.

I think it really depends on the person. For example, I have dark circles under my eyes. I'm almost 19. But when I get enough sleep they go away. It's only when I'm really tired that they're noticeable. Try regulating your sleeping times so that you're getting enough sleep on a regular basis.

It is possible that the dark circles just went away once your body adjusted to a lack of sleep....

I have had dark circles under my eyes since I hit puberty, that would be 30+ years ago. In my case it is genetic, comes from my mom's mother.

I still suggest you try to get a bit more sleep. ; )

If your darkness isnt genetic alot of it depends on how you sleep because of fluid under your skin you should try sleeping with your head propped up a little and when you wake up dip your face in cold water it will help tighten up your skin

besides lack of sleep, they also can be due to lack of nutrition,,,,, allergies,,,,, so yes its best to get enough sleep, and also eat well and perhaps take a vitamin,,,,,, and yes part may depend on the person, also what type sleep you get, really restful? or not
